Back Inlet Waste Gully Replacement Case Study

Needed to excavate back inlet rainwater gully and install new pipework – approximately 3m to connection – as this was displaced.

The Course Of Action

Engineers to remove faulty manhole frame and cover and replace with new vehicular compliant unit.

Work Undertaken

2 engineers attended the site to excavate inside the garage area, remove the gully and chase pipe work downstream to the displaced joint. The faulty section of pipe work was removed. New UPVC gully and pipe work was installed, connecting to the existing vitrified clay. Ground was reinstated as original.

The Outcome

Client is particular and wants newly installed pipe work to be surrounded in pea shingle and compacted properly as there is already movement on the garage wall.
