Management from Stamford Bridge Stadium got in touch with the team at 1st Call Drain Clearance & Technical Services just after a heavy rainstorm hit, explaining that we’re experiencing significant effects to the roof’s drainage, and with the football match imminent – we knew we had to work fast. 

They requested us to bring in a team of trained engineers who had plentiful experience working at heights, to take on this large task to clear the blocked roof outlets which were flooding the stands.

We attended and carried out the emergency clearance and off the back of this, we were tasked to return with a newly purchased, mobile high-pressure jetting unit to clean the roofs of two other stands. As this work was time-sensitive due to the poor weather forecast and upcoming Carabao Cup match against Man Utd, we worked efficiently to ensure everything was up and running, ready for the dedicated football fans. 

We’re extremely pleased to say that these works were successfully completed and that we will be returning to clean the remainder of the stadium roof outlets after the match.

Chelsea’s seven-game winning streak came to an end last night by Marcus Rasford’s two goals for Manchester Utd, including a winning free-kick towards the end of the game.

Michy Batshuayi scored for Chelsea on the 61st minute and almost won a penalty decision before being replaced in the 78th minute by Tammy Abraham.

Chelsea’s next Premier League fixture will be live on Sky Sports v Watford at Vicarage Road on the 2nd of November 2019, Kick-off will take place 5:30pm.
